Lindsay Lohan has finally found her place: on our television screens. The actor has been doing press for his new Netflix movie “Falling for Christmas,” and as such, questions about his beauty routines have surfaced. Chief among them? Whether Lohan’s bright red hair color is real or not.
Although Lohan has undergone many color transformations over the years, her natural hair color is actually red. In an interview for Vogue’s “Life in Looks” series, Lohan recalled dying her hair blonde in 2005, as well as how people told her not to. “I was really changing for fashion, my life was changing for fashion,” Lohan says in the video. “Nobody wanted me to dye my hair blonde, everyone was like, ‘Don’t do that, you’ll mess up your red hair.'” She later admits that in hindsight, they were right. “That’s the problem – when you go from red to blonde and do it in a hurry, it turns yellow,” she says. “That’s the real hard fact – don’t change your natural red hair.”
Over her decades-long career, Lohan has tried everything from strawberry blonde and copper to black and chunky blonde highlights, all before reverting to her natural hue. If you’re also looking for your own hair color transformation, shades like red clay, buttery blonde and shiny black should all be on trend for 2022 and can help you channel your inner Lohan – in any of her hair color eras.
