If you haven’t seen Netflix Bachelor’s Hell yet, where were you? The South Korean reality show, which follows nine people glamping on a remote island while trying to find the love of their life, began airing on the streamer in December 2021. Since its premiere, it has quickly attracted attention, with intense drama unfolding over the course of eight episodes and a definite rising star within the genetically blessed group of contestants: Song Jia.
Although surrounded by a group of other gorgeous singles looking for love, viewers quickly fell in love with Jia. With nearly every man in Hell lining up for his attention, the show quickly confirmed what we all thought: Jia East the main character. After the end of the season, she has now passed the three million subscriber mark on Instagram and her YouTube channel has skyrocketed to over 1.7 million subscribers.
After all that talking, we couldn’t help but check out all of the star’s YouTube videos and are ready to run to the department store to try the scents she listed as her favorites in a recommendation video. Buying perfumes without actually smelling the perfumes can be a tricky (and honestly disastrous) experience, but, honestly, we trust Jia’s judgment. (And who knows, maybe if we spray one on before we go out, we’ll also have muscle-bound personal trainers lining up for our love?)
Anyway, without further ado, here are all the scents that Jia listed as her favorites in an October 2021 video:
1. Yves Saint Laurent Libre Eau De Parfum
Her number one favourite, Jia describes this YSL fragrance as “sexy and luxurious”. (I mean, just like Jia herself!) While she says she prefers uncommon scents, she notes that this one is recognizable and explains that people can usually tell when she’s wearing it. “There’s no other scent I use so often,” she says and mentions that she’ll buy another bottle as soon as it’s finished.
2. Tom Ford Rose Pique
One of two rose-scented scents she loves, this pick is mature and lovely. Jia notes that this one is a unisex scent, and quite rare, so she gets a lot of questions and compliments every time she wears it. The matte strawberry milk color of the bottle is part of the appeal of this fragrance, and the black detailing adds extra luxury. She also includes the body spray version of this scent as a must-have.
3. Sweet Rose of Soul Seasons
“If I want to look like a baby, that’s when I’ll wear this Mellow Rose fragrance,” says Jia. Unlike Tom Ford Rose Prick, Jia mentions that Mellow Rose is a much more youthful and fresh flowery scent. The Soul Seasons fragrance is well suited for Jia’s fans and viewers, as she knows most are younger than her.

4. Tom Ford Sun Snow
It is a sweet but strong scent. Jia wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who likes a lighter, fresher smell, but if you like sweet scents with a hint of sex appeal, this is for you. The shape of the bottle mimics the other Tom Ford fragrances in his collection and when lined up they make the perfect luxurious home accent pieces for any dressing table.
5. Miss Dior Eau De Parfum
Another recommendation for her younger viewers, Jia shares that with a spritz of this Miss Dior perfume “you turn into an innocent young lady.” (Anything that means is open to interpretation.) She finds the vibes of this fragrance, from the cute design of the bottle to the fragrance itself, to be sweet and pure.
6. Yves Saint Laurent My Paris
Well suited for spring and summer, Jia recommends this scent to her viewers who prefer a more feminine scent. It’s like a candy, giving a much younger vibe compared to the sweetness of the aforementioned Tom Ford Soleil Neige. Sweet, without the sexy.
7. Chanel No. 5
Jia’s beloved Chanel No. 5 bottle in this video is almost empty, with only a few drops left. (Don’t worry, she has a new bottle on deck). The powdery, luxurious classic gives her princess vibes and has remained a favorite since she was in school. “At the time, I thought I was a princess. I am still a princess.
8. Chanel Coco Mademoiselle
A gift from a friend, this Chanel perfume is very mature, and you either love it or hate it. With notes of orange and jasmine, the brand characterizes Coco Mademoiselle as a bold floral-woody fragrance. According to Jia, “they call it the women’s perfume of the night.”
9. Byredo Mixed Emotions
Another gift from her collection, this perfume is also unisex. The cylindrical bottle and domed lid make it one of the only contemporary designs in her fragrance assortment, but she notes that it’s not her favorite. When it comes to Byredo, Jia prefers hand creams and hand cleansers from this Swedish luxury brand.
Bachelor’s Hell is available for full streaming on Netflix. If you want to see Jia talk about these fragrances herself (with a fun little vlog to boot), check out her video below:
