Good news for anyone looking to establish a skincare routine with fewer controversial ingredients. without derail their budget this year. elf Cosmetics has just launched a brand new skin care line developed by dermatologists, Pure skin, filled with ‘elf clean’ essentials – all of which ring for $ 15 or less.

As you may know, the word “clean” is not universally defined in the beauty industry and can mean different things for different brands. Part of what can make ingredient-conscious skin care buying so confusing. For elf Cosmetics, “elf clean” means that the product formulas “surpass” the standards of the FDA and the European Union cosmetics regulations and are free of more than 1,600 ingredients.

In general, depending on the brand, all elf Cosmetics product formulas are free from ingredients like parabens, phthalates, sulfates, nonylphenol ethoxylates, triclosan, triclocarban and hydroquinone. The products in the Pure Skin range are also fragrance free, which is a huge plus for sensitive skin.

The range currently consists of three daily skin care products: a gentle, non-irritating cleansing cream; a non-greasy moisturizer; and a moisturizing toner. Each formula is infused with oat milk and niacinamide to soothe skin, minimize the appearance of pores and even skin tone, along with other hydrating and nourishing ingredients.
