A former Sephora employee has revealed all the secrets she learned while working there.

There are a few TikToker things Sarah Palmyra will never do at Sephora again. Although she says she “absolutely loved” her time at the store and had an “amazing experience”, all was not perfect. Here’s what you should avoid the next time you hit the beauty store.

“These are things I won’t do after working at Sephora,” she said. Explain. “I will no longer be using makeup remover or cotton pads on my face.”

Palmyra said she was responsible for changing makeup remover and cotton pads in the store. Liability was not high on the priority list so staff never bothered to clean the containers.

“I don’t know about Sephora’s fluorescent lighting,” she said. said. “I will not buy foundation again as soon as I have matched it in store without going out first.”

The lighting overrides any color matching done in store, so be sure to check if it’s the correct shade in natural light. Palmyra also added that the sample-sized minis just aren’t worth the price.

“OMG thanks for telling us about the cotton rounds”, a user wrote.

“I’m always mismatched”, a person commented.

“Since I no longer work at Sephora, I will never set foot there again”, said.

“Thanks for the lighting! I always say the lighting is terrible in there and I come out with a terrible base,” another added.

“The one thing I can say about the minis is that they ARE good value if you take forever to finish the products / have a ton of stuff to work on,” a TikToker replied.
